Friday prayer

Saturday is World Refugee Day and so we pray...

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Lord Jesus, with your Mum and Foster-Dad,

you knew what it was like to be a refugee and in need of protection and shelter.

We pray for the many in our world who, like you, have fled from violence and danger.

We pray for children who have lost parents when trying to escape war and devastation.

And we pray that Scotland may always be a place of welcome

for all who come to use seeking our help and support.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
