Courses

In RE the course aims to:

• Show the pupils that they are loved, by providing opportunities for them to encounter Jesus.
• The RE course proclaims the good news, is enjoyable and relevant, sparking curiosity and inspiring pupils to become faithful disciples.

Pupils will experience core RE two periods a week from S1-S6. The course will cover the curriculum; This is Our Faith, designed by the Scottish Catholic Education Service. The curriculum is designed to provide guidance on current issues experienced by our pupils as well as preparing them for the future. It includes increasing their knowledge of Catholic Social Teaching, other world religions and the opportunity to gain accreditation for their efforts.

S3 pupils will have the opportunity to gain SQA Level 3 award in Religious Belief and Values on the successful completion of YPI project.

In the senior phase we offer the following SQA courses.

S5 pupils will have the opportunity to Gain SQA Level 6 award in Religious Belief and Values on the successful completion of:
