Revised home learning timetable for BGE pupils
Dear Parents and Carers,
We have revised the S1-S3 home learning schedule (timetable) to begin tomorrow, Wednesday 1st April.
This is intended to provide some increased flexibility and choice around progression of learning at home during this difficult time, while also maintaining a structure to the 'school day'.
We would ask you to be flexible with lunch times and break times for your child, allowing them the time they need. We also suggest flexibility with 'screen time', that will allow your child to take a break from their screen as needed, and to complete their activities and learning off screen where they are able to do so.
We will also be revising a new schedule for S3 learners and Senior Phase learners to take account of their course choices for next session and will have a revised schedule in place after the Easter break.
In the meantime, all learners may access their learning resources and contact teachers at these new times as of the morning of Wednesday 1st April, just as they have been doing, through TEAMs.
We will also continue to put information onto the website, twitter and facebook. If you have any queries, please contact the school office: wlstmargarets-ac@westlothian.org.uk
We are currently working on the new school timetable and will update you on this at the start of next term.
Our senior pupils should be finishing off coursework and even though there are no exams, it is important for them to have a sense of completing their work for the year. We value the work, study and effort that our young people have put in throughout this year. We would also like to reassure our senior pupils that we are following SQA guidelines closely.
Best wishes
Mrs McGarty
