European Languages Week
Every year, the ML Department of St Margaret's Academy celebrates European Languages Day (which was Tuesday 26th September this year) with an entire week of activities.
This year, these included: S2 poster competition, Twitter slogan competition, Seniors taught Juniors Italian, Smart Time Video Activity, Languages and Work Assemblies, European Culture quizzes, Straw Eiffel Towers, Target Language quotes/slogans about why learn languages, Petanque playing outside, researching facts about a European country and creating fact cards, karaoke songs in the target language.
Prezzo restaurant in Livingston sponsored the Twitter competition and provided a prize: a meal for two for the winner!
Also, the school's canteen provided European menus and morning prayers were said in different languages.
